Catalogue

One shared definition of every item — its code, description, type and unit; the manufacturer and other identifiers it is known by; which items may replace it; and which equipment it may be fitted to.

Its central question:

What exactly is this item — and when the one we want isn't available, what else is approved to use instead, and on which equipment?

It is a member of the Work & Supply network. Work Management, Inventory and (from R10.3) Purchasing all refer to catalogue items by their network id and show the item code; the code links back here. Their forms find items with the catalogue search (R10.2).
